Las Vegas has been negatively impacted by the recession with annual visitor rates falling by almost five million between 2007 and 2010, resulting in more low cost travel deals, including cheap trip packages and low cost hotel rooms being made out there to lure vacationers. If ever there was a hotel that brings out the imaginative youngster in all of us, it would have to be the Excalibur Hotel at night time.

All day long, I see tourists streaming in and out of this hotel, but as soon as nightfall has darkened the scene, and the hotel turns on those magical lights, the place is remodeled. At that moment, tourists start posing for pictures with the Excalibur in the background. Very magical certainly!

After I begin planning my Vegas holidays, I first look at the dates I wish to travel and see what makes probably the most sense for the journey I’m trying to plan. As soon as I’ve bought the basic time-frame down, I start taking a look at airfare and then my hotel presents (free and discounted) after which begin to make my plan.

But even at that time nothing’s set in stone for me. Now that is a really basic and oblique reply for what I personally do after I plan a trip, but here are some ideas and things to remember if you determine to start out reserving flights and hotels in your subsequent Vegas trip…or any trip, for that matter.
